St. Martins and Hopewell Rock

Today we drove out to a quaint little fishing village called St. Martin. Population is just over 300 so it is small...but cute and friendly. Lobster boats were in the cove just waiting for the next fishing day.

A covered bridge, cool colorful houses and a tourist info place that looks like a lighthouse make it a fun place to wander about.

Lunch was waterside again in a cute café that served...seafood chowder! And fish and chips! From the patio seating we could see the sea caves that appear at low tide.

and of course... I had to stick my toes into the Atlantic Ocean.

We drove a couple of hours east  to the next stop on our journey...Hopewell Rock area.

The Provincial Park at Hopewell Rock is amazing.  We managed to arrive at low tide and walked far out on the ocean floor. The rock formations will all get covered by water when the tide comes in.

Dad and I are in this photo...the rock formations are huge!

We will return tomorrow at high tide to see the changes.

We are staying in a little bnb with a lovely host. He pours good sized glasses of wine and even brought out some grapes and cheese to enjoy with it. Don got popcorn with his beer...he had to share.
